The Pantry is a substantial piece of furniture, so please ensure you have help when installing and securely anchoring it to the wall.
Steps
1) Set your supplied baton start height from the top of the unit - (minus) 6mm. The Ürtil sits on the baton using the 6mm lip at the back of the top piece.
2) Level and screw the supplied baton to your wall, whilst packing out the necessary spacing with the metal spacer rings provided. If you have a ‘solid’ brick/ block/ wood clad wall please use the 5 x 80 mm fixings supplied. If you are fixing to a plasterboard wall you will need to purchase specific plasterboard fixings.
If you have opted for an “open” pantry then do the following step whilst ensuring the side cover panels, and the fronts on the base carcass, are all flush at the front.
3) Ensure your pantry is the right way up with the “TOP” engraved on the back as well as the fixed shelf being a third of the way up from the bottom. Place the pantry on top of the metal support beam of the base carcass. Then using an M3.5x16, screw the pantry in place from under and through the support beam.
4) Secure the pantry to the pre affixed baton from -30mm from the inside top surface using the screw cups and M4x25 screws through the back.
5) Screw in any finishing ‘top’ panels on top of the pantry.
6) If you have opted for a recessed light channel in the top panel and lower shelf, the IKEA Mittled lights should be siliconed into the channel. Do not use the little plastic connecting clips and screws provided as the screws would go right through and damage the panels.
The lighting strips you will need is two (2) of this Mittled LED light, 80cm wide (one for the top panel , and one for the lower fixed shelf). Please note they come in two colours, white and aluminium.
You will also need the below:
1 x FÖRNIMMA Power supply cord, 3.5 m (Don't forget to plan in a power socket that this can connect to!)
1 x STYRBAR Remote control for wireless dimming etc
Adding the doors
The pantry is designed to sit on top of IKEA base units, combining IKEA cabinetry with our custom carcass and doors. The doors require IKEA hinges, which will need to be purchased separately. The hinges are sold in packs of two, and each door requires three hinges.
We recommend using the UTRUSTA hinge with built-in damper (153° opening), as this allows the doors to open wider for easier access. Link to them HERE.
